Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi, in an interview with a Hawzah News Agency correspondent, referring to the message of the Supreme Leader on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week, in which he emphasized that "based on divine calculations, Iran is the world's foremost power," stated: Based on our religious and Quranic worldview, we believe that beyond material factors that can play a role in victory and power, there exist factors beyond these whose impact we witness specifically on the global stage — such as divine assistance, which is mentioned extensively in the verses of the Holy Quran. In the two recent imposed wars, we witnessed with our own eyes God Almighty's support for the Iranian nation in confronting the American-Zionist enemy.
Divine Assistance in the Shadow of Faith-Based Insight
The member of Iranian Assembly of Experts' Presiding Board added: These are the traditions of God Almighty, and we have learned that if we help God and His religion, divine assistance will be granted to us.
The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries added: Contrary to a purely worldly view that reduces all elements to material factors, in the religious and divine worldview, beyond these, both material and metaphysical factors play a role. In this regard, we can look at the lives of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and other divine prophets based on the luminous verses of the Holy Quran, which reveal how a group with few material resources and limited manpower overcame enemies who possessed greater numbers and equipment and achieved victory. When we examine the verses, we realize that the number of the Prophet's forces was sometimes half or even one-third of the enemy's army, yet by God's permission and assistance, they emerged victorious, and divine assistance was granted to the believers in various battles.
Why Did the Supreme Leader Say We Are the World's Foremost Power?
Ayatollah Rajabi stated: On the other hand, it must be noted that the Holy Quran considers even those material factors to be under the dominion of God Almighty, for all are God's creation. Therefore, God's sovereignty over all factors is certain and definitive, as is also referenced in the noble verse of "Ayat al-Kursi."
The head of the Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute continued: Looking at the Tabas incident in the early years of the Islamic Revolution's victory, or the enemy's incursion into Iranian territory near Isfahan during the recent imposed war, which resulted in the humiliation of American forces, we clearly understand that all of these demonstrate God Almighty's assistance and grace, and that the Supreme Leader's statement that we are the world's foremost power was based on these very divine calculations...
No Power Can Overcome Divine Power
The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries continued: Where God Almighty wills victory and assistance for a nation, no factor can obstruct God's will. Therefore, such power overcomes all other powers and achieves victory.
Ayatollah Rajabi added: As our dear Leader stated, if our attention is directed toward God Almighty and we seek intercession through the Infallible Imams (PBUT), we possess a strong support base upon which we will triumph over all non-divine powers and become the world's sole superpower without equal.
The Necessity of Trust in God and Seeking Intercession Through the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT)
The member of the Assembly of Experts' Presiding Board stated: The Leader's emphasis on the importance of seeking intercession through the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) is because the Pure Imams (PBUT) are the intermediaries of divine grace. Therefore, whatever goodness, assistance, and success reaches us comes from God through the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT). If these are realized, we see the scene as one where on one side is the power of God and the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), which is invincible, and on the other side are those possessing material factors, which have no independent effectiveness of their own. Accordingly, just as God is the highest power in existence, believers who possess such power are also titled the world's foremost power.
Factors of the Iranian Nation's Authority
The member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries recalled: Our people, by the grace of the establishment of the Islamic Republic system and their adherence to the Guardianship of the Jurist, possess such power, and today we see that they have become the world's superior power. The proof of this is the events we witnessed in the two recent imposed wars, in which two nuclear-armed powers, with the help of many other countries covertly and indirectly, attacked our country, but by God's grace and the nation's resilience, they suffered a humiliating defeat.
An Indisputable Reality the World Acknowledges
The head of the Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute also expressed: The reality is that today the world acknowledges that the victors of the recent battlefield were the Islamic Republic system and the people of Iran.
